Kathy is
best known for her paintings of horses and wildlife. The fine
detail "I was born in San Antonio, Texas, and grew up in Oklahoma. After highschool, I attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. On completion of my studies, I returned to Oklahoma. I am very fortunate to be in this area, with all of the wonderful material, especially horses, to work with. There are so many world, or national level shows, ropings, and rodeos, as well as Remington Park race track, all of which provide me with an opportunity to be out there getting ideas for paintings." "My husband, Jerry, our daughter, Sydney, and I live in the country. Jerry raises thoroughbred horses, which I enjoy since I love to do paintings of the babies." .Kathy is versatile in several mediums including oils, pencil, watercolor, and gauche. Her art, created with these mediums, has been accepted in a number of promienent national art shows such as the American Academy of Equine Art at the Kentucky Horse park, Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum Western Spirit Show in 1995, 1996, 1997, and the 1997 National Wildlife Art Show in Kansas City.
